Refund Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return questions at


Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We are not liable for goods once they are in the possession of the collector. It is not our duty to refund, exchange, replace or compensate by any means for the damage of products that have been mishandled by customers. For example: smudging fingerprints on the white border, tearing fine art prints, damaging works, etc. See our aftercare guide to best protect your original artworks. 


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned like custom products (such as special orders or commissioned paintings). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.


All products have free shipping within New Zealand. Domestic and rural orders are sent via NZ post. They are tracked and should arrive within 1-5 business days. We will send you your tracking number via our website. Please ensure your shipping/delivery details are correct as we cannot take any responsibility for lost packages should the wrong details be given. All original paintings are couriered with tracking and insurance.  We do not ship to P.O. Boxes - we need a physical address for our courier service. Please note we do not ship over the weekend or on public holidays. Should you require your order urgently or in time for a specific date please advise this when ordering and we will do our best to get your order out to you in time or we will email to discuss.

Intellectual Property

Rights to artwork remain the sole property of Mikayla Forster Art including after purchase. This includes the purchase of originals, commissions, prints and current and/or future reproductions of any kind. The purchase of any original does not grant the customer permission to mint the piece into an NFT, print and distribute in any form or reproduce in any way by means of profit and/or otherwise. Collectors may not reproduce artwork in any way without express written permission from the artist. Posting images of the items purchased on social media are always welcome and does not breach this clause.
